The LG V30 was unveiled at the IFA Berlin in September last year and like its predecessor, anticipations around its India launch were rife since before the official date. LG eventually decided to launch the premium smartphone for Indian fans, which reportedly went on sale as an Amazon exclusive.
The flagship model, since before its launch created a lot of buzz in the rumor mill, such that, even after the launch we received possible price leaks. The newest report that surfaced online surrounds the company to bring the special edition of LG V30, dubbed the LG V30 Advanced Edition at the MWC event this year. But what makes it surprising is the device might debut alongside the much-anticipated LG G7.
Rumor mill had pointed out earlier that LG will manufacture its G7 device with the latest Snapdragon 845 chipset and will unveil it at the MWC event 2018. The newest emerged report claims that the Korean company will redevelop the upcoming LG G series flagship from scratch after what CEO Jo Seong-jin, at the CES 2018 stated. According to Seong-jin’s statement, the company will deliver smartphones only due to the fact that its competitors are doing the same every now and then.
While LG G7 is believed to debut at the MWC 2018, other reports call for the device’s launch with a delayed date of March or April. Reports also claim that the company would not showcase the LG G7 in the coming month, instead would hold a press conference on February 26. As of the LG V30 Advanced Edition, it is likely to debut as “V30+‘α’”, which is expected to come with “new technologies and functions”.
Plausible reasons to launch the LG V30 Advanced Edition is believed to be the company’s strategy of retaining the existing devices for a longer period of time. As of now, there are possibilities that the advent of the upgraded LG V30 might delay LG G7’s launch! Reports will shortly emerge regarding the same, so one may watch this space for further updates.
