Lenovo Z2 Plus Smartphone Set to Launch in India on September 22

Lenovo Z2 Plus: The company had earlier declared that the Z2 Plus smartphone will be launching in India soon. Now keeping their promise, Lenovo has sent out invites for the launch of the Lenovo Z2 Plus on September 22nd, Thursday. The company is holding a launch event in New Delhi that’s scheduled to begin at 11:30am IST.

Back in May, Z2 Plus was launched as Zuk Z2 in China but they later changed the name. Lenovo Z2 Plus features 5-inch Full HD display with pixel density of 441ppi. It is 8.45mm thick and supports Qualcomm’s latest Quick Charge 3.0 technology which means the handset will charge up to 80 percent in one hour. The handset is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. It runs on Android Marshmallow-based ZUI 2.0 OS and supports Nano dual-SIM card.

The device weighs 149 gm and measures 141×68.88×8.45mm. One of the highlights of the handset is a fingerprint scanner that’s embedded into the home button. The feature isn’t unique as it’s found among major flagship phones of almost all brands now-a-days. In China the device was priced at 1,799 Yuan (Rs 18,400 approx). It was available in Black and White colour variants.

Z2 Plus comes 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage and 13MP primary camera with EIS, f/2.2 aperture and phase detection autofocus and 8MP front shooter. The camera supports slow motion video shooting at 960fps. As for connectivity, the Lenovo Z2 Plus supports LTE (including the Indian bands) and Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and uses USB Type-C port for charging.
