Microsoft has been in the news for quite some time now for all the buzz regarding the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 5. Besides that, there is also news that Microsoft Surface Phones will be coming out in the year 2017 and the recent developments have come up with new updates. The latest news has revealed that Microsoft has released a new patent which is rumoured to be the blueprint for the much-anticipated Microsoft Surface Phones.
It has been reported previously that Microsoft will be coming out with the Surface Phones in order to get a strong foothold in the world of smartphones. And as the report in iTechpost suggests the patents that have reportedly come out in the market, promise something interesting. It is found that the patent for the Microsoft Surface Phone has got a rear camera and no physical home button. There is also evidence of a USB-C port in the bottom region of the phone. A volume button and a power button are also noticed on the edge of the phone.
Coming to the rumours regarding the features of the phone, it is revealed on previous occasions that the phone is coming out with a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen supporting a display resolution of 1440×2560 pixels. The RAM might vary from 6 GB to 8GB, and the internal memory could be 512 GB. It might not be as high as that and range between 64 GB and 128 GB, but nothing has been confirmed by the authority.
Coming to the camera features, the patent has only revealed that there is definitely going to be a rear camera. And that’s quite obvious. What remains to be seen is whether it is going to have a staggering feature as speculated or not. The earlier reports have suggested that the Microsoft Surface Phones might come with a 20 MP camera and sport a CARL ZEISS lens in the rear camera section. The selfie shooter is expected to be of 8 MP.
Also, nothing has been revealed regarding the price of the Microsoft Surface Phones, and it is estimated that the price might vary from $700 to $1000. Well, this might just not turn out to be the actual value and for that, we need to wait for further updates.
However, everything is in a state of rumour, and it remains to be seen whether the rumour turns out to be true or not. The patent that has reportedly come out is suspected to be the one that is going to be used for the manufacture of Microsoft Surface Phones. And it remains to be seen the innovations that might come in when the official revelation of the upcoming smartphone happens expectedly in the first quarter of the year 2017.
