Though not more than a couple of months to go before the brand new iPhone 8 hits the market shelves, people have already started talking about the next to next version of this prestigious smartphone lineup, the iPhone 9. The iPhone 9, which is expected to make its debut in 2018 is likely to come in 5.28-inch and 6.46-inch-two different display sizes. Not only that, both the display panels would flaunt OLED screen technology. Till date, the Cupertino-based tech giant has released all the iPhones with the IPS LCD panels. But Apple has planned to shift the display technology from IPS LCD panels to OLED panels, and we will witness the changes starting from iPhone 8. Moreover, all the new iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus will be engineered with the same display technology.

The report has also claimed that the brand new OLED panels will be supplied by Samsung and the Korean tech giant expects to sell at least 180 million OLED panels, more than 2 times of the panels they are promised to be producing for the iPhone 8, to the American tech conglomerate.

2017 is going to be the tenth year anniversary of the release of the first iPhone and to commemorate the occasion, Apple is all set to unveil three new iPhone variants this fall- the iPhone 8, iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. The upcoming iPhone 8 is likely to flaunt an all new design with 2.5D curved glass panels both on the front and back and a polished stainless steel mid-frame. Moreover, the highly anticipated smartphone would feature the latest IP68 waterproofing, connector for VR/AR experiences, brand new Apple A11 processor and wireless charging option.
