Samsung Galaxy Note 8 May Launch Earlier Than Expected

One of the most awaited devices of 2017 may release earlier than expected. If latest reports are to be believed, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 May launch on August 23. A report by The Investor, which is a Korean outlet, apparently suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S8 devices have not performed according to expectations, leading to the launch date of the Note 8 being pushed forward. A Samsung spokesperson said that the device would be launched later next month but did not confirm the release date.

Will the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 look like this?

We have previously covered the Note 8 from all angles, including rumors that the new device may have a new Infinity Display as an option. However, if the latest reports are correct, Samsung will look forward to ensuring that any sales slumps witnessed by the Galaxy S8 devices are recovered using the new Note 8.

An earlier launch will also mean that the Note 8 will start selling around the world sooner. One of its prime rivals, the Apple iPhone 8, is likely to receive a release date in September. The Note devices are traditionally launched in September but this year might be an exception. Also, last year’s Note 7 fiasco might mean that Samsung is considering its successor extra carefully.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 certainly has features which would enable it to become one of the most powerful devices to have ever launched. In comparison to the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus’ 6.2-inch screen, the Note 8 will be bigger with a screen size of 6.3-inches. With a rich display comprising of 3840 x 2160 pixels of resolution and 773 ppi pixel density, this will be the one flagship to beat. However, Samsung is looking to play it safe with the release date.

Now that the Korean giant’s hand has been forced, it is expected that Samsung will put its entire marketing might behind the Galaxy Note 8. The new device certainly has impressive new features to boast of. Come August 23, we hope that the memories of the Note 7 will be erased.
