One of the world’s most famous international trade shows exclusively for technology and consumer products, the IFA 2017, is currently on at Berlin. Now, Samsung has launched two new smartwatches: the Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro and the Samsung Gear Pro. Both of these watches have been described by us below.
We had informed you when the Gear Fit 2 Pro had been unveiled and was certified by the FCC. In fact, we had also speculated on how much the new smartwatch would cost. Both these watches have a slew of great features and can be used with ease under even the harshest of conditions.
Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro Specs and Features
On board is a 1.5-inch Curved Super AMOLED display that boasts a resolution of 216×432 pixels. For extra protection, we have Gorilla Glass 3. This device is said to be powered by a dual-core processor running in tandem with 512MB RAM besides 4GB of native storage space. This new device runs on the latest Tizen OS and will work with all devices running at least Android 4.4 and above as well as iOS 9 and above. The new Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro also acts as an excellent standalone music player and also comes with Bluetooth 4.2, GPS technology, and Wi-Fi. It has a 2,000 mAh battery.
Samsung Gear Sport Specs and Features
The Samsung Gear Sport has been built around the consummate sports enthusiast. It comes with a smaller 1.2-inch Circular Super AMOLED display with the Always On feature as well as Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Like the other watch, this one also comes with a 1GHz dual-core processor which is partnered with 4GB of native storage space. It runs on the Tizen OS and the compatibility features are identical. It features 768MB of RAM. While it has a bigger, 3,000 mAh battery, it has similar connectivity features.
Samsung Gear Series Price/Availability
The new Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro comes in either Red or Black colors for $199, which is around Rs. 12,700. It will release come September 15. The Gear Sport has Blue and Black color variants and comes for $349.99, or Rs. 26,700. The Gear Sport will start retailing come October.
