After weeks of anticipation, Xiaomi’s hotly awaited smartphone, the Mi Mix 2 has finally become official. The tech giant has now unveiled the second generation of the Mi Mix device. As per the rumor mill, we have received enough leaks and news about the device such that, prior to a couple of hours of Mi Mix 2’s launch, tech gurus were offered with another leak about the smartphone (as informed here). Here’s what the company has offered with the brand-new Mi Mix 2.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Display and Design
In the design language, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 reportedly features a shorter and narrower display than its predecessor. In terms of dimension, it is 151.8 mm long and 75.5 mm wide. The smartphone is wrapped with a ceramic back body with curved edges for better grip. As per display, the new Xiaomi smartphone sports 5.99-inch FHD+ AMOLED display alongside a screen resolution of a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, 18:9 aspect ratio, and comes with a screen-to-body ratio of 90%.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Under-the-Hood Features
Good news for users. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will be available not in one or in two, but in a total of four variants in terms of memory- 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM, 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM, 6GB RAM + 256GB ROM, and the special edition of 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM. But as reported earlier, all the variants will be housed with Snapdragon 835 alongside Adreno 540 GPU.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Optics Features
On the optics front, there’s a bad news. The Mi Mix 2 doesn’t join the bandwagon of a dual camera module. Instead, the smartphone sports a single sensor at the rear panel, i.e. the 12MP Sony IMX386. It sports 1.25μm pixel size with an aperture of f/2.0. Also, the smartphone comes with a dual LED flash and a fingerprint sensor embedded on the rear panel right below the flash. While on the other hand, the selfie snapper comes with 5MP sensor supporting autofocus as well as face detection.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Price
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will go on sales from the second half of this month (September), while the special edition will be available next month (October). In terms of price, four memory variants will be available with price tags ¥3299 (∼$506) for the 6GB RAM + 64GB version, ¥3599 (∼$552) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB model, ¥3999 (∼$614) for the 6GB + 256GB version and ¥4699 (∼$721) for the special edition of 8GB of RAM and 128GB.
