Not just a few times, but Huawei’s Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro have been the center of attraction in the rumor mill for a thousand of times. And after weeks of speculations here’s the ultimate good news. Going official on 16th October (as per this report), the Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro feature full view displays. Here are the essentials that one can check out.

Ahead of its official launch, the Mate 10 series appeared online with some leak shots and camera sample (as reported here). The company has launched the Mate 10 series sporting 5.9-inch QHD LCD display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. While on the contrary, the Mate 10 Pro device features an extended 6-inch full-HD+ OLED display and supports a screen of 1080×2160 pixels resolution.

Under the hood, Mate 10 houses the company’s homegrown HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC. As per Huawei‘s claim, the Mate 10 is the first smartphone to sport neural-network processor unit (NPU). According to the report, the chipset will support AI features like taking better selfies, creating Bokeh effect in images, so on and so front. Both the smartphones come with a powerful battery of 4000mAh capacity. While Mate 10 sports 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, Mate 10 Pro comes in two variants- one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage and other with 4GB of RAM and 64GB native storage.

On the optics front, both Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro feature a duo of rear cameras-  20-megapixel monochrome sensor and 12-megapixel RGB sensor (as reported here). Both these Android 8.0 based smartphones run on EMUI 8.0. While Mate 10 comes with a headphone jack, its bigger sibling, Mate 10 Pro doesn’t have one.

The Mate 10 smartphone, priced at EUR 699, will go on sale from next month, i.e. November in markets in Egypt, Malaysia, Mexico, Australia, China, New Zealand, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Singapore, and the UAE. Whereas, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, priced at EUR 799, will be available in the aforementioned places as well as the European and African markets.
