Xiaomi's upcoming device, the Redmi Note 5 is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Processor.

In the midst of rumors, Xiaomi‘s Redmi series of smartphones continue to expand with flying colors. In the recent past, we have seen the Redmi Note 4 following the footsteps of Redmi Note 3 and Redmi 3S and thus maintaining the fame of being one of the top-selling devices. The rumor mill has had it all concerning Redmi Note 4. But now the news is all about Redmi Note 5. And after Note 5A’s TENAA certification, the upcoming Redmi Note 5 has been spotted on China’s certification site.

The Redmi Note 5 Appeared on TENAA

According to the report, the smartphone will come with an aspect ratio of 18:9 alongside negligible bezels. However, from the TENAA certification, the Redmi Note 5 is reported to feature a single camera setup contrary to previous reports (as mentioned here). But keeping the previous statements in mind, one can also expect a dual rear version of the smartphone to get unveiled alongside the single lens camera version.

The Redmi Note 5 is also expected to sport a full-screen display housing the recently launched Snapdragon 636. We already reported on how Qualcomm announced Snapdragon 636 with a 40 percent better performance than Snapdragon 630. According to several anticipations, the new chipset is possibly making an appearance on Xiaomi’s next Redmi Note handset.

Concerning the sales figure, the smartphone maker is already in the competition with Samsung. And it is likely threatening the Korean tech giant’s position in the Indian market. Being an instrumental manufacturer, Xiaomi has proved to be one of the best sellers in the country. Also, we have recently reported on how Xiaomi unveiled Redmi 5A in the Chinese market with ‘8-Day Battery Backup‘.

As per Redmi Note 5, the rumor mill has come up with major key specs of the device. Report wise, the smartphone is expected to feature a 5.5-inch FHD 1080p display with a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It’ll be an Android Nougat 7.1 based phablet that comes with MIUI 9 on top. One can check out our report on MIUI 9.0.2.0 to be coming soon (as mentioned here).
