Several leaks and rumors on these two smartphones have surfaced over the past few days. Redmi 5 is available in two RAM + ROM variants: 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM and 3GB RAM+ 32GB ROM versions. Furthermore, it the default storage is expandable up to 128GB by using a microSD card slot.

The device runs MIUI 9 based Android 7.1.2 and is powered by a mammoth 4000mAh battery.

Prices and Availabilities

While the 2GB RAM + 16GB of internal storage variant of Xiaomi Redmi 5 comes with a price tag of 799 Yuan (Rs 7,795), the 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage version is priced at 899 Yuan (roughly Rs 8,770). On contrary, the Redmi 5 Plus with 3GB + 32GB of default storage comes with a price tag of 999 Yuan (roughly Rs. 9,745) and 3GB + 32GB of internal storage Redmi 5 Plus variant is priced at 1299 Yuan (roughly Rs 12,675). Both the devices are available in four color options: Black, Light Blue, Gold and Rose Gold and is set to go on sale from December 12 in China.
