Huawei P11 will Not Launch at MWC 2018, Postponed to April?

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 tech show this time would be as magnificent as yesteryears. Already Samsung has confirmed that it will bring the 2018 flagship Galaxy S series phablets to the exhibition. While not much is known pertaining to other tech companies, recent reports point out that Huawei, the Chinese multinational company, will not launch its next-generation flagship phone, the Huawei P11 at the MWC 2018. But why?

Strategically, Huawei has taken a reasonable decision, in order to avoid clashing with the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. According to the leaks so far, it will hold a dedicated launch in Europe in the month of April in order to announce the P11 series. At the MWC 2018 event, Huawei is anticipated to announce tablets as well as 2-in-1 notebooks. Other reports indicate that the company has delayed the arrival of P11 due to some internal and external challenges for selling Huawei smartphones in the markets of the U.S. This it would be stabilizing the supply, demand for chipsets, and also enhance the quality of the triple camera module.

Another phone which Huawei is set to bring is the Huawei P11 Lite which we reported some days ago. The device with an iPhone X-Like design was spotted online. Also, one may have a look at the report surrounding Huawei P11 which indicates that the smartphone will debut with a similar iPhone X-like notch.

To join the same bandwagon, the South Korean multinational conglomerate, LG, has also decided not to unveil the flagship device at the tech show to hold in Barcelona, Spain. While earlier reports suggested that LG has delayed the launch of LG G7, now it is a clear indication that LG would only bring the LG V30 Advanced Edition.

Notably, Samsung is all set to unveil the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ at an event on February 25 at the MWC 2018 show. Some market experts consider that these Samsung smartphones will not be any major smartphone launches at the tech show as other manufacturers are not willing to face a clash with Samsung. This nevertheless wasn’t anticipated from last year.

At MWC 2017, both LG and Huawei unveiled their flagship devices: the G6 and P10 series and Samsung was the one which postponed the announcement of 2017 flagship smartphone. As we are a couple of days ahead of the event, more news will surface online. Till then, stay glued to us and check whether or not LG or Huawei change their decision strategically.
