One of the most hotly anticipated smartphones of the year, the Xiaomi Mi 7, has been leaked time and again. Last week, we had reported how the phone had been leaked showing off a glass back as well as dual rear cameras. Given that this new device is set to have wireless charging features, it is natural to have a glass back. Now, we have seen another leak, showing off horizontally arranged dual rear cameras.
For the uninitiated, we expect Xiaomi to attend next month’s MWC 2018 at Barcelona, Spain. It is entirely possible that we will see the launch of the Mi 7 there. This new leak, however, goes off a step further and suggests that the rear side of the device will be a combination of glass and metal. This type of a combination is markedly different from what we knew earlier: that the rear would be entirely made of glass. Adding a trace of metal in the mix does strengthen the device considerably.
Also, the dual camera setup is located on the left-hand side of the device’s rear with dual LED flash arranged on the left. There is one more detail that the leak has sprung: that the device from Xiaomi will come with rounded edges. Unfortunately, there is nothing else that we could discern from this leak.
The image which comes via PhoneCorridor, and which you can see on our page, is in silver, although there is no notice officially that the device will have a silver variant. We do know, however, that the device will most likely be powered by this year’s flagship chipset, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, as has already been confirmed by the CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun.
Other details of the phone have already been covered by us. Expect a large 6-inch display as well as an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone will likely have two variants. A base model will have 6GB RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, while the more premium model will have 8GB of RAM as well as 256GB of internal storage. Watch this space for more news breaks.
