One of the most anticipated devices of the year, the Xiaomi Mi 7, has been under development for quite some time now. From what we know so far, the Chinese major will definitely attend the MWC 2018 in Barcelona that starts February 26. There is a strong chance that the Xiaomi Mi 7 may be unveiled at the MWC 2018. Now, another leaked render of the device has surfaced, showing off a glass back and dual rear cameras.
You will remember that we had reported how the new Xiaomi Mi 7 would have wireless charging, a feature that has also been seen aboard the Apple iPhone8 and the iPhone X. Now, it is very difficult for wireless charging to take place without the presence of a glass back. This means that we had already anticipated the glass back would be there.
The latest news comes to us via Naijatechguide, and you can check the source out. You can also see the dual camera setup that has been horizontally placed at the back and also accompanied by dual-tone LED flash. Right below the camera module, we could see the fingerprint sensor at the top-center position. This essentially means that the phone will appeal equally to both the left-handed and the right-handed users.
We already know some details about the upcoming phone. The new Xiaomi Mi 7 will ditch the fingerprint reader and will feature an on-screen fingerprint sensor. The device will also come preloaded with some AI features as well. The AI-assisted latest Snapdragon 845 chipset will power the dual rear cameras of the Xiaomi Mi 7; this is reminiscent of the Huawei Mate 10 and the Mate 10 Pro which draw their power from the AI-assisted Kirin 970 chipset.
Xiaomi has confirmed that the upcoming Mi 7 will come with Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor, the Snapdragon 845 which will work in tandem with 6GB of RAM. The Mi 7 will get ample juice thanks to the 3950mAh battery and may likely support dual-SIM dual-standby feature. Watch this space for more.
