Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has been on a launching spree of late with multiple variants of the OnePlus 6 flagship device being made available to the public in India. To recall some of the variants of the OnePlus 6 device, we have the base variant with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage which is priced at Rs 34,999. While the high-end variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage is priced at Rs 39,999. These two variants are currently available in three color options of Midnight Black, Mirror Black, and another limited edition Silk White variant.
While another model with 8GB RAM and a massive 256GB storage variant was available for a limited time as the OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition which was priced at Rs 44,999, OnePlus has now announced the launch of a 256GB storage variant with 8GB RAM in Midnight Black color variant in India. The smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 43,999.
The company has also announced that the device will go on sale for the first time on July 10 via e-commerce giant Amazon. Additionally, the smartphone will also be available via OnePlus online and offline stores from July 14 onwards.
To recall the specifications of the OnePlus 6, the device features a 6.28-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. The screen bears a resolution of 2280 X 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage space. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Oxygen OS 1.5.8 on top. The smartphone can also be upgraded to Android P beta.
On the optics front, it features dual rear camera module with a 16-megapixel primary and a 20-megapixel secondary camera supported by an LED flash. On the front, it features another 16-megapixel camera for taking selfies and video calling.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual band WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is fueled by a 3,300mAh battery that supports fast charging.
