Samsung Galaxy Tab S3: A Samsung tablet has emerged on Geekbench and its quite possibly Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S3. According to the listing, the device sports high-end specifications that could give a run for money to other brand products.
In the Geekbench listing, the product that bears the model number SM-T825 boast 4GB of RAM, and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 (MSM8996) SoC chipset. Moreover, the listing shows a single-core score of 1686 and a multi-core score of 4170, setting straight that the device will be a monster of a tablet with high-end chipset. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat as is likely to feature Samsung’s proprietary TouchWiz UI on top, as per Android Headlines.
The tablet in question has previously appeared on GFXBench as per Android Community. According to GFXBench listing, there is going to be another variant of Tab S3, model numbered SM-T820. The second variant will be a Wi-Fi only model, with 3GB of RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage and display resolution of 2048 by 1536. As for the camera, the listing reveals there’ll be a 13-megapixels rear-camera and 5-megapixles selfie camera.
It’s worth noting both variants will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor instead of the more advanced and much newer Snapdragon 821. If Samsung means to compete with the likes of other advanced tablets in the market, at least one variant could be backed by Snapdragon 821.
A few weeks back, Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 possible renders were leaked online by Evan Blass, you might want to take a look at that. Also, we have done a round-up of all rumours regarding Tab S3 where we predicted the device would be rolled out in early 2017 to make up for the loss incurred by Note 7. So far there’s no definite confirmation from Samsung as to when they intend to release the tab. However, there are rumours circulating that Ta S3 will be launched by the end of the year. It likely to be priced $389 at maximum and $319 for lower variants.
