Honor 9 Lite Spotted on TENAA, Launch Scheduled Today

Huawei-owned sub-brand Honor is likely to launch a new smartphone in the Indian market today. This new device is likely to be the Honor 9 Lite, a device we had reported on only yesterday. While the company has not yet confirmed that it is indeed the Honor 9 Lite, we believe that it is indeed the case.

As the name suggests, the Honor 9 Lite is a watered-down version of the Honor 9 which is a great device. The Honor 9 had earlier come to Indian shores and it is certainly a great device. No matter how watered down the Honor 9 Lite is, it is expected to retain the full-screen design which has become a hallmark of today’s smartphones. As seen on TENAA, the Honor 9 Lite has the model numbers LLD-AL10, LLD-AL00, and LLD-TL10. The TENAA listing that we saw has also revealed the pictures of the fabled Honor 9 Lite.

As far as the Honor 9 Lite specs and features are concerned, they are remarkably savvy. The device is likely to be launched in two different variants. The basic one, which will have a lower price tag, will have 3GB of RAM paired with 32GB of internal storage. A more premium variant will have 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Both of these models are likely to be powered by Huawei’s own in-house developed Kirin 659 chipset.

Like we mentioned earlier, this device will come in three different color variants; Black, Blue, and Gray. The Honor 9 Lite will boast of sporting a full-screen design that will have minimal bezels combined with an aspect ratio of 18:9, which is a standard feature on many high-quality flagships this year. We could hardly spot any bezels on the sides, while the top and the bottom bezels are rather thin. In a marked departure, the Honor 9 Lite lacks a physical button.

The device has a rear dual camera setup which is a combination of a 13-megapixel sensor plus a 20-megapixel sensor. With a 5.65-inch-display which may be capable of delivering a full HD+ resolution of 2,160×1,080 pixels, the phone may well be a successful one.
