Soon after the Nokia 8 got the Android Oreo upgrade, the tech sector received rumors on Nokia 5 and 6 to shortly get the same update. However, this recent news talks about one interesting update that Nokia 6 has received. Although the device is yet to receive the Oreo flavor, the latest update carries the build number 00WW_3_72A and weighs in over 149MB.
According to the report via Gizbot, the release brings the November Security Patch to Nokia 6 besides the KRACK Wi-Fi vulnerability. To add the cherry on the cake, the device also gets the UI enhancements as well, which in a way, troubleshoots some existing stability issues.
As per the Finnish tech entity, HMD Global chooses to remain quiet by not launching the changelog concerning the update. Albeit this interesting update which ensures all bug fixes and changes, it is somewhat disappointing for fans to not have received the Android Oreo update until now.
While there were rumors about HMD Global to all set to push the Oreo beta program to both its Nokia 5 and 6, when it is supposed to happen still remains unknown. Last month the variants with model numbers TA-1000 and TA-1003 (belonging to the Chinese and Hong Kong markets) already received the November Security Patch, prior to November. And before that update had taken place, Nokia 6 users also received the Android 7.1.1 and eventually Android 7.1.2.
