Samsung is set to unveil its Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ on February 25, one day ahead of MWC 2018. While last year’s Galaxy S8 duo reimagined what an Android phone should be, Samsung with its successor is set to change the meaning of its popular S series devices. A couple of teasers were already been into the limelight of our report, a few days ago. And a couple more has surfaced through the microsite along with the phrase “coming on 25.02.2018”.
Things get relevant when we refer to the teasers that rolled out on Flipkart a while ago which hint at the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ to apparently be Flipkart exclusives. Also, Indian fans can expect the devices to get available for pre-order in India from the very day of the launch, the report suggests. The microsite features a bunch of teaser videos but sans exact details. And as we believe that a picture is worth 1000 words, here it goes.
According to the teasers, the phones are expected to feature a bunch of camera-centric features. Tipped to offer a bunch of intriguing features (like variable aperture, slow-mo videos, and 3D emojis), reports also shed lights on the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S9 would come with a single camera at the back. On the contrary, the Galaxy S9+ will offer a dual-rear camera system. The Samsung Galaxy S9 duo is tipped to come with the company’s in-house Exynos 9810 chipset worldwide, while on the other hand, the US version would be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will feature 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch displays respectively with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 display and a QHD resolution. The unchanged design will offer last year’s Infinity Display design but with thinner bezels this time. The fingerprint reader will be embedded on the side of the optics module. Besides Samsung Galaxy S9 duo, the South Korean supergiant may also unveil a new tablet dubbed the Galaxy Tab S4.
