If the latest reports are to be believed, there is a new Apple Special Event on the horizon. It will be held on September 12 at the Steve Jobs Theater, which has been dubbed as the New Apple Park. The iPhone 8 may be on the platter and it is one of the most eagerly awaited devices of the year and is also set to be a very expensive device. Also on offer is the new Apple Watch 3 and the new Apple 4K TV. We have previously covered the Apple Watch 3 in great detail.
The rumor mills have been in overdrive mode ever since the year began, as it was the tenth anniversary of the Apple iPhone. While the iPhone 7S and the iPhone 7S Plus are almost confirmed, the other model may be called the Apple iPhone 8 or iPhone Pro.
We already know that the new Apple iPhone 8 may be the first Apple device to come with an OLED display panel, a feature which nearly derailed the release date. The device will have a 5.8-inch display and will house the latest A11 chipset, guaranteeing excellent speed and ease of use. It will also run on the iOS 11. On board is a nearly bezel-less display which also makes for a big-screen phone.
This year’s special iPhone 8 could have one variant with a massive 512 GB of internal storage. This will mean that the users will not miss the microSD card support. In related news, the device may come up with a new facial recognition feature for better security, effectively ditching the Touch ID feature.
Besides, the fact that the Apple Watch 3 may also arrive at the same event makes it a very important one for Apple. Once the iPhone 8 is unveiled on September 12, it is likely to begin pre-orders on September 15. Shipments start September 22. We also expect a 4K-enabled Apple TV to be unveiled at the same event.
